• Television Production provides students comprehensive exposure to every aspect of the industry from production to performance. Students can create and star in their own commercials, movies and PSAs, using the state of the art cameras, editing equipment, and production studio.

• Journalism provides instruction and production experience in print journalism, advertising, script writing and graphic layout. Students can join the Newspaper Club and add their own skills and ideas to The Thunderbolt newspaper.

• Performing/Fine Arts provides students comprehensive exposure to many aspects of art, music and drama. Students can express themselves through an instrument of their choice in our popular marching band, or star in one of the many great plays by the drama club.

• Graphic Design prepares students in the competitive field of graphics, print production and digital imaging. In a growing world where advertising is always around us, and always in demand, students can learn how to design and produce everything from business cards to banners in the graphics lab.

Communications and Broadcast Arts Magnet Program is specially designed to prepare students with all the skills necessary for their future success in our high tech world. During the first year of the program, students take introductory courses in journalism, graphic design, and television production or performing/fine arts.
